My eye was trained in London, where I lived and worked for six years. The British dare to use colour and print, and I brought that home with me: a calm, natural base of stone, wood and linen, layered with just enough boldness. Never loud, always just enough.

I believe a great interior doesn't begin with trends or magazines, it begins with the people who live there. Every project is a collaboration: you bring the knowledge of how you live, I bring the knowledge of what works. I love interiors that have layers: something new next to something old, a beautiful fabric next to a raw material, a room that doesn't reveal everything at once but that you enjoy more the longer you're in it.

In 2021 I was diagnosed with cancer. In 2022 I got to call myself a survivor, and that changed everything. No more waiting on the dream I had as a girl. Since then I do what I love every single day: making people happy with a home that truly fits them. It is also why I work the way I do. A home is not a backdrop, it is where your life happens. It might as well be right.

I guide projects from first sketch to completion: concept and layout, furniture, lighting, styling and everything in between. I work alongside contractors and suppliers where needed, but my role is always that of designer and coordinator, the through-line from start to finish.

Nine Design Interior is based in Amsterdam and works throughout the Netherlands and beyond.
